WHO WE ARE

The GothamBaby.com parents’ network is a group of 450+ New York City families. The network is dedicated to supporting parents, exchanging information about the daily exigencies of life in New York City and vicinity, and providing a way for people to connect and find playgroups. Our goal is to create a an open and down-to-earth venue, and to facilitate people connecting with each other. Both mothers and fathers are welcome to join. Parents use the network to set up playgroups, ask parenting questions, share experiences, and find out about neighborhood resources. Expectant/pregnant and new moms and dads are of course welcome.

LOOKING FOR NEW FRIENDS OR A PLAYGROUP?

If you'd like to meet new people or find a playgroup, please use our Friends + Playgroups board. Another great way -- join the parents' network and send a message to all our members. Don't be shy; many people have met that way. The best way to meet new people is: Do both! Post to our Friends + Playgroups board -- and join the parents network and send a message to everyone.

HOW TO POST A MESSAGE ON THIS WEBSITE

Messages posted to the website DO NOT get sent to the parents’ network. There are two ways to communicate: a) send a message to the parents’ network, or b) post on this website. The two are mutually exclusive, meaning if you are a member and you send an email to the network, it does not appear on the website. If you want to post a message on this website, create a new account, log in, and click here to create a new discussion forum. After cursory review, your new message will appear on the front page and in the discussion category you choose (see discussion categories at left). You can also comment on old postings.
