Highchairs

I have one of those chairs that hangs off the table, but I'm thinking I'd like to have a highchair so my baby can sit in the kitchen with me. What highchairs do you own, and do you like them?

Stokke Kinderzeat

I just bought a Stokke Kinderzeat high chair on ebay for $170. I just got back from Norway and everyone had them there. They last for a long time (on our recent trip my son used the same chair my best friend had used when she was a child)and look great. They also hold up to 250 lbs , like the Svan, but unlike the Svan, they are ergonomically designed and apparently the design aids in good digestion and spine development.

Prima Pappa

I have the Prima Pappa by Peg Perego and am very happy with it. It has various height and recline positions, it's easy to wipe clean (the tray is dishwasher safe) and most important my baby seems very comfortable in it. It's not the least expensive on the market but I think it's well worth the money. Good luck with your decision!

IKEA Tuffing

We have the Tuffing Highchair from IKEA and we love it. It's compact, the base is foldable, it's sper easy to clean (I just throw it in the bathtub to rinse it off), and it is only $25!

Svan high chair

I just got the Svan high chair and cushion and I am happy with it so far--it is wood and the base is small so it doesn't take up the whole kitchen and looks like a piece of furniture. In fact, it becomes a regular chair and can hold up to 250 lbs. They have it at BuyBuyBaby, but it is one of those brands that is excluded from all coupons. ee/ae
