Our wonderful nanny, Cateia, will be available for a new family the first week of September. She's been with our family since my daughter was 10 months old and before that took care of a little girl, Lilly, from 6 weeks to 2 years. Cateia will be available in September because we are enrolling my daughter in day care. I feel very lucky to have had Cateia in our family because when I went back to work I didn't have any anxiety about leaving Selina - I could tell I was leaving her in good hands (Cateia would take pictures of selina while I was at work so I could see what things she did during the day). A few things about Cateia that made her such a great nanny - She is very punctual and never arrived late for work - She is flexible and always tried to accommodate changes in my schedule - She is very organized (I have never had to ask her to do something twice!) - She is very aware of Selina's development and always tries to challenge Selina in fun ways. They spend a lot of time outside going to the park, going on outings to the library, and visiting the mall on rainy days. - She is very high energy and can keep up with small children. She is the only person I interviewed who was experienced and energetic. - She is American and speaks English as her first language so Selina learned a lot from listening to her read and speak. - She is CPR certified - She is seeking work for 4 days/week, but can work 5 days/week on occasion. - She is very aware of the importance of consistency in a child's life and followed my lead with discipline, baby sign language, and routine She comes with wonderful references from me and her previous family.
